Orangeville Police Station, Orangeville, ON

This project was delivered as a design-built contract. The building design was conceived as two stacked rectangular blocks, with one sliding past the other. This move created a colonnade on one side and a roof for mechanical equipment on the other. A private landscape area was designed to be adjacent to the staff lounge. Building materials were chosen for efficiency of coverage and cost. The project was occupied by the police services staff 9 months after start of schematic design.
