Pine Hills Commemorative Chapel, Toronto, Ontario

Pine Hills Commemorative Chapel is located within the grounds of Pine Hills Cemetery in the east end of Toronto. This 23,000 sf building houses the administrative offices of the cemetery and a non-denominational chapel. At the centre of the facility is a landscaped courtyard, primarily used as a meditative space but also serving as the focal point from which the chapel, visitation rooms and reception rooms are organized. This chapel is designed for use as an indoor/outdoor chapel: in warm weather, the outdoor component can be integrated into a memorial service.
